Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas...

Christmas table was set for 12 this year, obviously mom, dad and my 4 siblings, along with my aunt, uncle, nan and grandad; however this year my brothers girlfriend also spent Christmas morning and Christmas dinner with us...

Mom has a knack for floristry and was able to create two fabulous centre pieces for the table...what a woman!

Starter: Classic Prawn Cocktail

Main Course: What else would you have on Christmas than a roast Turkey dinner with all the glorious trimmings!

Dessert: Christmas pudding was the main dessert but there was the option of mince pies with brandy cream...

A good old cuppa...
To accompany teas and coffee we had a Panettone, if your new to Panettone it is an Italian sweet bread loaf that you eat with jam or butter...

Chocolates were also offered with tea and coffee...

What did I get for Christmas?

This is no way intended to brag or show off, I know from myself that it's quite nice to have a nose at others people possessions and I wanted to share everything with you, so I decided to post what I had for Christmas...

I was a very lucky girl this year, spoilt rotten by everyone...

Beauty galore...skin products, makeup, nails, tanning, hair and perfumes!

Like most girls I'm totally in love with soap and glory so any S&G product is welcomed with open arms! My brother and his girlfriend surprised me with this nail care package, that included a hand moisturiser that I may say smells incredible, hand scrub, Emory boards and a selection of two nail polishes...

Perfumes...

Ed Hardy is a childhood favourite of mine and momma always gets me a bottle for Christmas...

Lady GaGa, Fame is a new fragrance I was introduced to by a friend, although it's not the longest of lasting perfumes it does smell glorious; and the bottles pretty cool!

Avon,  Soft Musk which is a everyday perfume...

Bits and Bobs...

Gil Elvgren is a genius in my eyes so it's always a pleasure to have something that includes his art, last year I had a 2014 Gil Elvgren diary that had a pinup portrait for every day of the year; so having a calendar for next year is perfectly, especially now I have quite a few dealines at university...

New makeup bag that features 7 classic beauties...

After watching a number of YouTube tutorials on vintage 1950's hairstyles I decided to ask Santa for a curling tong to try out these techniques. I've always used heated curlers in the past but the curls never seem to hold so I'm venturing out into the hairstyling world and will let you know how I'm getting on...

I was incredibly lucky to receive a new camera this year, hopefully this will improve the quality of my blog pictures and capture the beauty in everything!

Aside from being a vintage fan I'm also a huge lover of Ralph Lauren so it was a shock when I opened the wrapping to find a Ralph Lauren side pouch this morning...

Lingerie is a love of mine and Christmas is a time to take advantage of new underwear, this is one of the sets I received this year; a deep burgundy bra, French knickers and suspenders. In addition to that some Stockings with a black seam were thrown in aswell...

I've never been a fan of candles but lately they've grown on me and now I can't get enough! So candles were on my Christmas list this year...

This gorgeous chest was a present from my brother, purple being my favourite colour and the vintage flare that covers it he knew that I would love it!

Well I hope this has entertained you for a little while and that you have enjoyed reading it, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all the best for new year and 2015!

Lou Lou's Vintage Fair...

Vintage Fairs? nothing could excite a vintage lover more... So when I heard of Lou Lou's Vintage fair I just had to go and have a nose! The fair started at 12pm at the Town hall in the Oxford City Centre, so I headed out around quarter too as I wasn't 100% sure where about the town hall was; but thanks to a friendly bus driver I managed to find my way...
If you read my previous blog you'll know that I recently purchased the cashmere jumper, silk scarf and beret from a vintage shop on my previous shopping journey... All for £20.00! Love a bargain!
The Entry fee was a small £2.00 that was for the whole day, there were a number of stalls all with different vintage treasures and trinkets; the particular picture above was a stall that was selling around 8 different kinds of ladies vanity sets from £35-£55...
I personally found that the town hall was an excellent choice to hold the vintage fair as the architecture inside on the ceiling was breath taking, just added that something special...
Live music was also provided by Emma Stevenson, who sang some of the 40's, 50's and 60's classic hits, that we all know and love...
Brooches and rings were sold at practically every stall, but non of the two were the same...
One stall was selling a number of sunglasses for £5.00 each, much to my delight I bought two pairs; but had to restrain myself as I saw around seven pairs that could quite happily live with my glasses collection...
A makeup and hair stall were offering hairstyles and makeover at the fair, they also displayed many new makeup products that were on sale; from brightest blusher to a suttle lipstick, they had a wide range...
Tin signs and prints were on sale, all different and unique, the large signs were being sold at £10 and the regular sized signs were on sale for £6...
Afternoon Tea was provided in the adjoining hall, a selection of delicious cakes were on sale and tea or coffee was presented in china cups and saucers; tea being a huge love of mine I just had to join the band wagon... So a pot of tea and a slice of Victoria sponge, and I have to say it may have been my favourite purchase...

 So What Did I Buy?
                 Gold Earrings: £4.00
             Blue and Gold Earrings: £6.00
The coasters were £3.00 each or 4 for £10.00, there was a huge range of different prints from Gil Elvgren portraits, Audrey Hepburn, Vintage posters, Lauren Bacall and of course my favourite Elvis...
I am absolutely in love with the shape of these sunglasses! The exaggerated wings are my idea of perfect...

      Tortoise Frame: £5.00
     Cream Frame: £5.00
Prints were also on sale, these too came in different categories; ranging from vintage posters, original photographs from 1950's, Elvis, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Humphrey Bogart...
    Each print was £5.00
