Oh, I do like to be besides the seaside...

Well, what a long weekend! We all went away for our traditional family camping holiday to Barmouth in Wales; it is a town in the county of Gwyneds, north-western Wales, lying on the estuary of the River Mawddach and Cardigan Bay...

Packed up and bursting at the seams we headed out around 5pm Thursday afternoon, we managed to complete the journey in 3hours straight...

Getting there around 8pm, we put the tent straight up and as we could all eat a horse, we headed out for something to eat. Although many restaurants finish serving food around 8pm (which I find quite bizarre considering it's right in the middle of holiday season?) a trusty curry house was open! I have never enjoyed a Lamb Bhuna more in my entire life compared to that moment...

I'm a huge camping fan but it was sooooo cold during the night I practically had no sleep, even two hot water bottles and the worlds most unattractive sleep wear could keep me warm!

Friday morning we started the day off with a good old fashioned fry up and a few cups of tea. Consequently Fridays weather conditions happened to be the best of the whole weekend, so it was lucky that it was the day we decided to head to the beach...

I'm not one for posting bikini pictures but after working hard and losing around a stone + finally getting some stomach muscles, I thought a bikini selfie was due...

Saturday mainly consisted of shopping, there are numerous individual shops in Barmouth that all offer a variety of products...

This beautiful creature above gave me the biggest fright when I walk passed him!

As adds a keen fisherman of course we allowed him to check out a few fishing tackle shops...

1) Sweets         2)1950's

Two things I love, so when we found a 1950's themed sweet shop I found myself welling up!

Couldn't help but buy a 'Wobbly Willie' and 'Wobbly Titties'...

24 years together...

Our last night soon came around and happened to be mom and dads 24th wedding anniversary! We all wined and dined at 'The Last Cavern' which is a quate little pub that was bursting with character...

It was hard to get a clear picture but the mountains spring water runs into this section of pub that holds all kinds of fish...

Live music was just another element that added to the night and made it that little bit more special...

I'm a huge nerd when it comes to camping I love to go all out and do it properly but I have to admit in glad to be home... I can finally use my heated rollers!
